It is a dilation of the esophagus, located in its upper part, as if it were a herniation of the same. It occurs over the years being more common in the elderly population. They give swallowing problems as well as repeated respiratory infections. These patients usually present noises in the neck and out of food, which returns to the mouth, hours after they have eaten them. The most current way of treating it is through the mouth, with self-suturing devices. In this way, the patient usually returns to eat after 24 hours, with a one-day income. At the present time we have treated more than 100 patients in a totally satisfactory way.
