The Bone Anchoraged Hearing Aid (BAHA) is a system that is used for conductive or mixed hearing losses up to a limit of 60dB bone loss between the frequencies 250-4000Hz. The device consists of a pedestal of osseointegrated titanium in the cortex of the temporal bone, which is fitted with a hearing aid that transmits the acoustic signal in the form of vibration. Transmission to the inner ear is done via the bone, and bilateral stimulation of both cochleae can be done.
